Last updated: 2026-06-20
1. Service Provider and Agreement
These Terms govern use of the Grio mobile application, website, and related coaching services provided by Manyworlds ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using Grio, the user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
2. Medical Disclaimer
Grio is not a healthcare provider, medical device, or emergency monitoring tool. Coach messages, meal and activity suggestions, energy explanations, and AI-generated responses are for general wellness and weight-management support only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or emergency judgment.
Users should consult a qualified professional before relying on Grio in situations involving disease, pregnancy, eating disorders, chronic conditions, injuries, medication, rapid weight change, or other medical concerns. In an emergency, call local emergency services immediately.
3. AI Coaching Limitations
Grio uses third-party AI services, including DeepSeek V4 Flash and Google Gemini models, to generate coaching language, summaries, meal analysis, and personalized context retrieval. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as professional advice or definitive fact.
Users should not enter financial information, government IDs, another person's personal information, raw medical records, or other sensitive information unrelated to Grio's wellness coaching purpose.
4. Accounts and Subscriptions
Grio may offer free trials and paid subscriptions. Billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds for iOS and Android apps are handled through the app store from which the user obtained the app. If the store controls the transaction, refund requests must be made through that store's process.
5. Apple Health and Optional Permissions
Apple Health connection is optional. If users skip or revoke HealthKit permission, they can continue using Grio with ritual answers, manual entries, and logged records. Users can revoke HealthKit permission in iOS Settings at any time.
6. Prohibited Conduct
- Illegal use or infringement of another person's rights
- Attacking, bypassing, reverse engineering, or manipulating the AI model or app functionality
- False information, use of another person's account, or disruption of service operations
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages caused by user input errors, AI limitations, store, network, or external service outages, or user reliance on the service. Liability that cannot be excluded by law is not excluded.
