Grio Account and Data Deletion
How to delete a Grio account and associated data in the app, or request deletion from the public web resource.

Request Deletion From the Web
If you cannot access the app or already deleted it, request account deletion by email. Include the email address used for Grio or Sign in with Apple so we can verify the account faster.

- Open the Grio app.
- Go to Settings.
- Open Account and Subscription.
- Select Account deletion and confirm.
The in-app deletion path immediately deletes the server-stored account, profile, coach settings, Apple Health derived summaries, and uploaded photos. Chat data and store metadata checks are scheduled for manual handling while those storage paths are being separated.
Data Deleted
- Account information, profile, and Grio coach settings
- Server-stored Apple Health summaries and derived indicators
- User-uploaded Grio photos
- Goals, body information, weight, meal, activity, and diary local state remaining in the app
Information Handled by Manual Review
Chat and coaching context that are still being separated into dedicated storage, plus App Store or Play Store metadata, are handled after request receipt and account verification. Web email requests follow the same manual review path.
Subscriptions
Account deletion does not automatically cancel App Store or Play Store subscriptions. If a paid subscription or trial is active, review billing status separately in the store subscription management screen.
Records That May Be Retained
Minimal records may be retained when required for legal compliance, billing disputes, security incident response, or abuse prevention, and only for as long as needed for those purposes.
Confirmation
For web email requests, we reply after identity verification and processing. If the request lacks enough information, we may ask for additional verification details.
